The Vítkovice v Krkonoších Alpine Recreation Complex is located in the valley of the Jizerka River below the majestic Kotel Mountain. The village was first mentioned in writing in 1606. The village originated next to ironworks and subsequently glassworks. The Baroque Church of Saint Peter and Paul dating from the end of the 17th century is also of interest. Our chalet is located next to this church at an altitude of around 700 metres above sea level. The natural monument called "cliff window" is located on the slopes of Velký Jeřábník Mountain.
Vítkovice is the ideal starting point for mountain hiking and cycle trips in the Western and Central Giant Mountains. It is also a popular ski centre in the winter. The Horní Mísečky Alpine Recreation Complex is located in a peaceful area of the Vítkovice municipality on the slopes of Medvědín Mountain. The first chalet was built in 1642. Visitors can also see the remains of a spoil heap, which remains from the ore surveys from the middle of the 20th century. There are a number of recreational buildings here today. The Horní Mísečky Ski Complex is the location of ski runs of all difficulty levels for advanced skiers and beginners. It also has race and standard cross-country tracks. The Medvědín chair-lift is the ideal connection
between Horní Mísečky and Špindlerův Mlýn. Horní Mísečky is intersected by an alpine road from Dolní Štěpánice to Vrbatova Bouda. The Elbe Spring educational trail also ends here.
